Just moments after the device appeared on a couple of relevant website, T-Mobile has officially announced that the HTC One S will be launching April 25th for $200 after a two-year contract agreement and a $50 mail-in rebate. We ran into the HTC One S at Mobile World Congress this past February and had nothing but good things to say about it and the entire HTC One line

Though LG seemed content to stick with the lineup unveiled at Mobile World Congress, it now looks like those won’t be the only handsets we see from the Korean manufacturer this year. In an apparent bid to go head-to-head with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III and newly release HTC One X a new handset has surfaced with a potential May release date

Huawei’s first quad-core smartphone, the Ascend D Quad introduced at this year’s Mobile World Congress, will hit shelves in July according to Chinese website CNMO . The phone is set to go into mass production a month prior in June, giving the D Quad a bit later of a start than most expected. The handset’s processor was developed in-house by Huawei and will compete head to head with the Tegra 3 chipset found in HTC’s One X and the quad-core Exynos processor developed by Samsung, which should debut in the Galaxy S III

Forget for a minute that a phone already named the Samsung Galaxy Beam hit the market almost two years ago . We can even ignore the fact that it spent some time entertaining the miners trapped after a cave-in in Chile. Yes, Samsung seems content to act like that phone never existed, and for whatever reason a large portion of those of us covering the tech industry (and those following blogs like this one) have chosen to have selective amnesia when it comes to the original Galaxy Beam
