Remember this guy? It’s the Samsung T-I9300 and the umpteenth image to show up with some sort of claim tying it to the upcoming Galaxy S III. However, in this case a Galaxy S III it is not.

Again, we’re going to say probably not. While the image indeed shows a Samsung handset running Android 4.0, for whatever reason it just isn’t screaming “next-gen successor to the Galaxy S II” to us.

A photo has hit Picasa with some interesting EXIF data. It claims that photo was taken with a Samsung GT-I9300, the model number believed to be reserved for the yet-to-be-announced Samsung Galaxy S3 .

Last week we saw the Samsung GT-i9300 appear on Samsung’s support site only to be pulled later, a sure sign that Sammy wants to keep something secret about that specific model number. The designation is in line with Samsung’s flagship series of phones and is a likely candidate to match up with the upcoming Galaxy S III and has once again shown up in official documentation, this time earning its certification from the WiFi Alliance.
