Well, the good news is that creating various carrier variants isn’t slowing down the Samsung Galaxy S III’s launch in the US by too much. However, the bad news for those looking to use the phone on T-Mobile’s network is that you might have to do without LTE. While it’s a bit understandable considering T-Mo won’t have an up and running 4G LTE network until 2013, I’m sure there would have been a few people who would have wished it was at least capable of LTE, so that they don’t require a new device next year.

The Samsung Galaxy S III has been rooted ahead of launch…sort of. A developer going by the alias of Chainfire has successfully achieved root with the device’s release candidate firmware but never even had GS3 in hand. Instead he took advantage of a leaked software build and did the rooting virtually

The version of the Galaxy S III headed to Japan’s NTT DoCoMo is just the beginning when it comes to smartphone’s chock full of RAM. That is Samsung’s hope, anyway. The company started making low-power 2GB memory modules for mobile devices last year and is now kicking the chips into mass production.

It looks like it’s going to continue to be the year of the (snap)dragon, folks. We always expected the Samsung Galaxy S III variants for the different carriers to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4, with it’s onboard LTE capabilities trumping the quad core Exynos that’s packed in the international version

The Samsung Galaxy S III isn’t the only new phone in town. But you would have missed the Samsung SVH-E170K if you weren’t looking for it.

OK, maybe we’re relying a bit too much on advertising for the latest scoops these days , but if you can’t trust those trying to sell you product by all means necessary, then who can you? That was a joke. You can never trust a marketing campaign to relay the facts as they actually are, but that’s not stopping us from at least humoring the content of a recent Google ad for the Samsung Galaxy S III on Rogers.
