Verizon’s Galaxy S III turns up in Nenamark benchmark, Snapdragon S4 gives Exynos the boot

It looks like it’s going to continue to be the year of the (snap)dragon, folks. We always expected the Samsung Galaxy S III variants for the different carriers to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4, with it’s onboard LTE capabilities trumping the quad core Exynos that’s packed in the international version

Google working on native social gaming hub for Android?

Rumor has it Google is working on a native social gaming hub for the Android platform, one that would showcase features similar to Apple’s Game Center. The app would utilize an achievement system, leader boards, and a friend finder to pit gamers head to head. It is likely the hub will use Google+ as a means to socialize the gaming experience.

HTC Golf pictured in the wild, new sources say Desire C could be final name

The phone codenamed HTC Golf has slowly been revealing itself to us. Its existence was confirmed after an image snapped by the phone’s camera appeared online . Then a leaked render popped up at which point the Wildfire C name was suggested as the final moniker of the mid-range handset

Will the North American Galaxy S III feature both Exynos and LTE? Google ad seems to say so

OK, maybe we’re relying a bit too much on advertising for the latest scoops these days , but if you can’t trust those trying to sell you product by all means necessary, then who can you? That was a joke. You can never trust a marketing campaign to relay the facts as they actually are, but that’s not stopping us from at least humoring the content of a recent Google ad for the Samsung Galaxy S III on Rogers.

What we have here is our first look at the “G” from LG, a handset said to be destined for Sprint’s airwaves. But it’s not just any old G, the LG LS970 is a quad-core powerhouse with a 4.7-inch HD display and Ice Cream Sandwich. It is even said to couple LTE connectivity with its 1.5GHz CPU, which means we are likely dealing with a newer processor platform
